By understanding how hope and creativity work together, can we increase creative value in projects and in communities?
RESEARCH GOALS: The aim of exploring and making connections between hope and creativity is to understand how these human states and traits reside within all of us and how they can be applied to improve the design process. I invite you to journey along with Deliberate Wonder through psychology, neuroscience and human centred design to explore how people generate hope neurologically, emotionally and behaviourally. I will illustrate how hope, defined as “our capacity for agency and pathways thinking”, has the potential to stabilise us in the deep tangle of humanity and better serve community and earth in the solving of complex and wicked problems.
